Born on October 9, 2014, Mayanja is a bright and hopeful young boy living on the shores of Lake Victoria. He lives with his mother and father, but sadly, his home is filled with hardship. Mayanja’s father is abusive and struggles with alcoholism, offering no support or care for the family’s needs. Because of this difficult environment, Mayanja is not able to attend school. His father does not believe in the value of education, leaving Mayanja’s dreams out of reach. Yet, even in these tough conditions, Mayanja remains hopeful. He loves swimming in the lake and dreams of one day becoming an engineer.
